Up for sale, finally

The Original Painting of “The Machine” Available here

#I of II Artist Print Giclees available currently on Ebay starting at a greatly reduced price.

I’ve held off on putting this one up for sale, because I wanted to sit on it a while before I varnished it… just in case I decided to add any finishing touches. I also wanted to wait until it was was varnished, because it might have been a bit embarrassing and inconvenient to have a varnishing mishap *after* it sold.

Now that it is ready to go, and I have finally come to accept the notion of parting with it, it is yours, or rather it can be yours… if you can afford to buy a highly detailed 48 x 24 inch painting. I debated long and hard with myself over whether I wanted to auction it, sell it outright, or hold onto it till summer – and finally decided to put it up here.

The painting is in acrylic on a 1/4 inch thick birch panel, protected and accented by a heavy coat of semi-gloss varnish. It is sold unframed, because I’d imagine that the buyer would have their own framing options in mind as per their home existing decor… though I can leave the existing cherry-toned frame around it for no additional cost, if the buyer so wishes.

Prints, I might add, are currently available as well. They are available as limited edition giclees on canvas (44×22), limited edition giclees on Hahnemuhle fine art rag paper (36×24), and limited edition metallics (48×24).

I split the run between these three media to suit the needs of those who bought prints of the previous piece on canvas or metallic, and also made a lesser-priced (but equal in quality) fine art rag version available to those who prefer it, as well as those who want the prints in the exact size of the original painting.

The fine art rag paper, is awesome – more the consistency and durability of fabric than paper, and super-vivid in its presentation of detail and color.

All of which printed in fine archival pigment inks, signed and numbered with the holographic serialized Hahnemuhle certificate of authenticity. The total combined size of these editions comes to only 150 total pieces – which if you consider the amount of people living on the planet – makes them quite rare.

Canvas and metallics available currently are hand-embellished in addition to their usual hand-signing and certification, but no different in price, as an incentive to buy early. When they are gone, I will update the store with the non hand-embellished ones.

There are also smaller sized open edition metallics available, for those with less wall space to fill.

Because my current store does not allow for multiple images, here are some pictures of the details (click to view full-size):
